Established in 1969, the Creative Arts Center is a
non-profit organization dedicated to the teaching and appreciation of the arts.

Open all year, the Center offers classes and workshops in painting, drawing, pottery and jewelry. In addition to offerings by its own outstanding teaching staff, the Creative Arts Center sponsors workshops by nationally known artists such as Mary Whyte, Daniel Keys, Joe Paquet, Kim English, Carol Maguire, Nancy Tankersley, Sergio Roffo, Bill Farnsworth, Ted Nuttall and William Davis.

New exhibitions are mounted monthly in the Somy and Bigelow Galleries of the Creative Arts Center featuring works of Students, Members and Faculty alternating with regional shows featuring works of other artists. Every year in the third weekend of August, the “Festival of the Arts” is held at Chase Park in Chatham. It is a juried fine arts and crafts festival which has become an annual “must see” event for Cape Cod residents and visitors alike. With over 120 Artisans from around the country, it is a wonderful opportunity to explore the world of fine arts and crafts. Watch for our banners that are displayed along Main Street in Chatham two weeks prior to the Event.
