Beginner Studio Class
Want to make a good painting? Don’t know how to start? Wish you had a coach to solve problems as you work? Need advice to mix the color you see? If you’re new to studio classes and feel unsure of what to do and how to work, this course is for you.
By the end of this six week course, you will have completed three still life paintings. There will be one still life subject set up for two sessions each. From getting a good start to ending with a meaningful interpretation of your still life, you will have the guidance to get the most out of your efforts. The three still life subjects will address certain art concepts such as value, planes and surfaces, color schemes, composition and more. Feel free to paint in oil or acrylic!
Buy three canvases no larger than 12 X16 in size. You can opt for a $15 Supply Fee, or if you prefer, bring you own oil paints and brushes. Acrylic painters are welcome, but must bring their own equipment. Class size limited to 6.
